Dilip Hari
Founding Member and CEO

Dilip Hari founded DPNY Hospitality. He is a hospitality veteran who has held senior positions with major hospitality chains such as Intercontinental Hotels Group and Oberoi Group of Hotels. His experience spans across North America, Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa. Most of the hotels he was associated with are the leading hotels of the world.

Dilip Hari is a graduate from the University of Calcutta. He attended the Cornell School of Hotel Administration. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Certified Public Accountant.

Woo Chan Kim
Corporate General Manager

Woo Chan is an excellent hospitality leader with over 20 years of rich and diversified experience with some of the leading global brands in hospitality in North America such as Marriott, Sheraton and Hyatt.

He has comprehensive understanding of business dynamics across various hotel tiers including luxury, full-service, and select-service properties. He brings strong Operations, Sales and Marketing, Renovation and Property Turn-around skills to the table. He held GM position for the last 17 years overseeing various brand properties before joining DPNY.

He has been consistently recognized for his dedication to the highest standards of service, attention to detail and guest satisfaction.

He is currently based out of Sheraton Suites Chicago with 253 suites. He is also overseeing other properties in the group.

He exemplifies the spirit of a professional hotelier with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Mattie McNeil
Director of Finance and Accounting

As the Director of Finance and Accounting at DPNY Hospitality, Mattie McNeil is responsible for the hotel accounting and finance discipline for all property level operations. She looks after budgets, forecasts, and standard operating processes. She ensures expenditures are in line with budgets and monitors checkbook management by all operation departments. She prepares cash flow and holds monthly review meetings with the GMs and Operation teams and maintains strict financial discipline. She also looks after audit, taxation and treasury functions.

Prior to her time with DPNY, Mattie held various accounting and finance positions within the hotel industry during her tenures mostly with Marriott Hotels. Mattie is a graduate of the University of Davenport, MI and holds a degree in Accounting. She attended numerous advanced courses in finance management.

Mimi Sion
Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing

Mimi has broad-based sales and marketing experience in several segments of the hospitality industry. As leader of DPNY Hospitality’s sales and marketing department, Mimi oversees sales, marketing, revenue management and e-commerce activities in support of DPNY’s portfolio of hotels. In this position she develops and implements initiatives to increase hotels’ market share and achieve cost-effective marketing communications, and develops interactive marketing direct to consumers and through third-party online retailer networks, advertising and public relations.

A graduate of the Michigan State University in the Hospitality Management with a CHA certification, Mimi has been in the Hospitality Industry for the past 35 years, working with Intercontinental Hotels Group, Hilton and Marriott Hotels. Mimi is a highly passionate sales and marketing professional who is never happy unless management goals of revenue targets are significantly exceeded year after year at properties she takes responsibility for.

She is very well known in the community she lives in and organizes different public relations and charity events throughout the year to strengthen property relationship to the community. Mimi is a strong believer in serving the Community.

Pooja Hari
General Counsel

Pooja is DPNY Hospitality’s General Counsel. Pooja leads the company’s legal department and is also responsible for the company’s strategic oversight and development of hotel portfolios.

Pooja earned her J.D. from New England School of Law, Boston, MA and her Bachelor’s in Political Science from the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Jassi A
GM and Director of Operations

Jassi has 25 years of extensive experience in hospitality industry. As a General Manager with IHG Hotels, Wyndham, Best Western, Marriott, he has been instrumental in promoting the properties and has a track record of successfully achieving high revenues, excellent guest satisfaction, product quality and enhanced market share at each managed property. He has significant experience of F&B functions particularly large banquets and bar operations. He brings to table hands on experience of hotel management, great people skill and the art of motivating a team of people for a single purpose successfully.

Maynk Toprani
Director of Operations

Maynk is a hospitality veteran with a significant experience in Asia, Middle East and North America. He has grown in the industry starting from the position of a Front Desk Assistant. His passion for guest service is exemplary. His talent, energy and motivation is on display all the time when he is in guest contact areas. Although his core skill is in managing Front Desk operations, he is equally experienced in overseeing all other operational departments of properties with an eye for detail.

Debra Apperson
Revenue Manager

Debra is responsible for identifying and maximizing all potential revenue opportunities for the hotels. She manages and maintains group and transient inventory controls, including but not limited to, room accommodations and rate inventory controls, roll-in controls, group inventory and cut-off dates, implementation of blackout dates, maintaining demand information and managing sellout strategies. She develops, monitors and adjusts sales and pricing strategies. Debra conducts competitive demand analyses and provides critical analysis of chosen strategies, room statistics and general demand factors to ensure the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availability.

Rupali Ahluwalia
Director of Operations

With over two decades of hospitality experience, Rupali Ahluwalia has held several managerial positions in full-service hotels. Her hands on style of operations made her successful in all areas of hotel management. Her in-depth knowledge of Front Desk and Housekeeping functions is very helpful in managing large and complex hotel operations with ease. She is also experienced in improving guest satisfaction scores by adopting all the best practices

Laith Tawir
Chief Engineer

Laith has over 25 years of experience working in the hospitality industry. He has experience working in various branded hotels including Hyatt, Delta, Millennium, Lexington and Hilton.

Laith currently works as a Chief Engineer at the Sheraton Suites Chicago elk Grove and assists other properties of the group. He oversees all projects of the group. He ensures hotels get very high scores from the guests through his focused maintenance of guest rooms and public areas.

John Martilla
Director of Engineering / Chief Engineer

John has over 35 years of experience working in the hospitality industry. He has experience working in both Hilton and Marriott Hotels and in various positions where he oversaw project management and maintained quality assurance standards on the properties he worked on. John leads and manages the engineering and maintenance associates at the various properties at DPNY. He maintains the Health and Safety program and ensures a high level of guest and associate satisfaction. He manages and oversees all property renovations and construction projects.

Rosemary Maul
Assistant Finance Controller

Rosemary is a veteran in the hospitality industry who has held various management positions in her long career. She started her career as a Front Desk Agent and over the years, has worked in multiple departments including Front Office, Sales, Revenue Management and Accounting. Her eye for detail and organizational skills benefits the company every day. Her working capital management skill is exemplary ensuring no vendor remains unpaid beyond due dates under any circumstances. She always advises the company to stop any wasteful expenditure and opportunity to save money.
